Sweets

I continue to receive good wishes via email, Facebook, Twitter and even through the post!  I really am incredibly grateful.

Today’s card came from Coolabi, the production company behind the Scream Street TV series.  It included packs of official Scream Street sweets for Sam and Arran!

For those of you who may not know, I wrote a series of 13 books called Scream Street, featuring the adventures of a reluctant werewolf, a wannabe vampire and an action-hero mummy.

The books available all around the world, and are great fun to read – even if I do say so myself!

Why not buy one and find out for yourself?  All royalties help!

Not long after the first books came out, I was approached by a TV company who wanted to turn them into a stop-motion television series.  Five long years of planning, preparation and production later – and Scream Street premiered on CBBC (Children’s BBC) here in the UK last October.

The animators – Factory TM – are making 52 episodes for the first series alone.  I’ve been along to watch the team in action – and the work they’re doing is just fantastic!

Here’s a sneak peek…

I spent much of last year novelising some of the TV stories for publication.  The two of those books – Uninvited Guests and Negatives Attract – were published yesterday in both the UK and the US!

So, life goes on!

I’m planning to keep writing for as long as the treatment allows; until it utterly wipes me out.  I’ve got my dream job and nothing – not even cancer – is going to stop me from doing it.

  2. I’m not averse to reading children’s books (despite being mid 30s) so I’ll check them out on pay day next week.

  3. Years ago I was ‘given’ a group of year 7s who could barely read to ‘do something with’. We read Scream Street and had a hoot! Brilliant books! Buy them all!
